The American Rhododendron Society (ARS) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1945 with the main objective of promoting and developing interest in the propagation, growing, culture and enjoyment of rhododendrons and azaleas.
The Cape Cod Chapter of the ARS is a local group, one of 75 chapters located throughout the United States, Canada and other countries. Worldwide membership is about 6,000.
You are welcome to visit the Rhododendron Display Garden on the Village Green in Orleans located at the junction of Route 28 and Main Street. The garden contains rhododendrons, azaleas and companion plants. Peak blooming period is from mid-April until mid-June. There are picnic tables on the Green. The garden is a cooperative project of the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society and the Parks Department of the Town of Orleans.
